1. How to Choose Between AIO-5 Lite, Play, and Play BMW Version?

The AIO-5 series by CHIGEE is a premium product line that integrates CarPlay and Android Auto into motorcycles. Each model is designed to meet the needs of different riders:

1. AIO-5 Lite: The most powerful model, featuring a dashcam and Blind Spot Detection (BSD). It enhances safety and is compatible with various motorcycle brands, though installation is more complex.

2. AIO-5 Play Standard Version: Simpler design without a camera, focusing on easy phone screen mirroring. It also offers wide compatibility.

3. AIO-5 Play for BMW: Specifically designed for BMWs, with quick-release and anti-theft features, but it doesn't support additional cameras.

When choosing an AIO-5 model, consider advanced safety features, simplicity, or BMW-specific integration. For detailed comparisons, please refer to the comprehensive comparison page.

2. When will the pre-ordered BMW version of the AIO-5 Play ship?

Due to unexpected high demand, our current stock is sold out. Pre-orders are now open:

• Late August: Estimated shipping for current pre-orders
• Mid to late September: Next batch if August stock sells out

Orders are processed first-come, first-served. Limited quantities available.

3. Is the AIO-5 Play BMW version compatible with my BMW?

Adaptability:

1. Perfect Compatibility:

CHIGEE devices seamlessly integrate with BMWs, providing native data access and Wonder Wheel control.

Please ensure you've selected "NAV" in the Settings-Features-RC menu, rather than "CGRC."

If your BMW is perfectly compatible but you do not see the "TFT-NAV" indicator on the upper right corner of your BMW TFT dashboard after connecting the CHIGEE, please upgrade software.

2. Software Not Supporting:

BMW's native data accessible, but Wonder Wheel control requires software update or CGRC CAN purchase.

We have identified that some models do not support software upgrades. Please refer to the compatibility chart for more information.

3. Without Wonder Wheel:

For BMWs without Wonder Wheel, we recommend the CGRC PRO remote.

4. CGRC CAN Required in Wonder Wheel control (native data can be read):

For RT/K series with mechanical instruments, you can purchase the CGRC CAN for control. (2011-2021 K1600 series / R1200 RT / 2016-2017 R1200 R)

5. Wonder Wheel control is unavailable (native data can be read):

For RT/K series with TFT instruments, Wonder Wheel control is unavailable—consider the CGRC PRO remote instead. (2021-2023 R1250 RT & 2022-2023 K1600 models & 2022-2023 K1600B)

Native Data Reading & Wonder Wheel Control Issues:

Some BMW have pre-installed navigation systems with varying software versions. Even if your BMW has NAV Prep installed, it may still be unable to directly access Wonderwheel control or read native data as advertised. This inconsistency is due to software variations among different BMW models and production years. Contact a BMW-authorized dealer to schedule a software upgrade for your navigation system. Check more here.

4. Can I add camera to AIO-5 Play for BMW?

Integrating additional cameras into the AIO-5 Play for BMW is not feasible due to the following reasons:

1. Power Limitations: The AIO-5 Play for BMW is powered through the BMW Nav Prep cradle. While this power supply adequately supports the display, it does not have the capacity to accommodate additional cameras along with the display.
2. Design Constraints: The integration of extra cameras would necessitate the installation of additional cables running from the display to various camera locations on the motorcycle. This would compromise the current quick-release design of our product, which is integral to its ease of installation and functionality.

5. BMW Tire Pressure Data Sensing

The AIO-5 Play seamlessly integrates with your BMW's built-in TPMS, providing real-time tire pressure monitoring at a glance. Its sleek interface displays vital tire pressure readings with crystal clarity, eliminating the need for additional parts or guesswork.

Allows you to set custom tire pressure alert thresholds. You can:

1. Set different alert values for front and rear tires
2. Adjust these values independently to match your riding preferences or manufacturer recommendations

If your tire pressure falls below the optimal level, a clear warning appears, displaying the precise pressure readings. With the AIO-5 Play keeping you alerted and informed throughout your journey, you can proactively avoid potential hazards and maintain the highest level of riding safety.

*If your BMW doesn't come factory-equipped with tire pressure sensors and the Wonder Wheel, we highly recommend considering CHIGEE's add-on options to unlock the full potential of your ride. 

6. Intuitive Wonder Wheel Control with the AIO-5 Play for BMW

The AIO-5 Play for BMW seamlessly integrates with your motorcycle's Wonder Wheel, allowing you to control both the BMW TFT and the AIO-5 Play interface. Here's how it works:

1. The top-left corner of the CHIGEE display indicates the current control mode:

• "TFT" means you're controlling the BMW's original system
• "NAV" means you're controlling the AIO-5 Play

2. To switch between control modes, long-press the Menu up key on the BMW.

This integration provides a familiar, native control experience for both your BMW systems and the AIO-5 Play features.

Important Notice: CGRC CAN Required for Wonder Wheel Control in Specific BMW Models 

*We've added an option that allows you to use the Wonder Wheel for vertical rolling control. Once enabled(Go to setting - Feature - RC), vertical scrolling becomes the cursor selector (screen selection icons remain horizontal swipe), left scroll confirms, and right scroll returns.

7. Important: CGRC CAN Needed for Wonder Wheel Control in Certain BMW Models

Integrating the AIO-5 Play for BMW with certain BMW motorcycles may require additional hardware for full functionality. 

Models needing additional CGRC CAN:

• K1600 series
• R1200 RT
• R12 Nine T
• R1200 R (2010-2015)

The AIO-5 Play for BMW cannot directly interface with the Wonder Wheel due to the unique control logic of these models, which prevents switching between TFT and NAV. To enable control via the Wonder Wheel, you need to purchase the CGRC CAN add-on.

8. Does AIO-5 Play for BMW receive ongoing updates and improvements?

Absolutely. The AIO-5 Play for BMW supports OTA (Over-The-Air) updates, ensuring your device stays current. CHIGEE is committed to:

9. Can I switch the AIO-5 Play for BMW between multiple BMW motorcycles? 

Yes, you can quickly switch the AIO-5 Play for BMW between multiple BMW motorcycles, as long as each bike is compatible with the device. Simply unplug it from one motorcycle and plug it into another compatible BMW model. 

10. Does the AIO-5 Play for BMW Have a Battery? Can It Be Charged?

Please note that the AIO-5 Play for BMW is designed for direct installation on the BMW Navigation Preparation (Nav Prep) system. It draws power directly from the BMW Nav Prep, ensuring seamless integration and consistent power supply.

Therefore, the AIO-5 Play for BMW does not have a battery and cannot be charged separately.

11. Compatibility Alert: AIO-5 Play For BMW and Silicone Protective Case

The AIO-5 Play for BMW mounts directly on the BMW Nav Pre bracket, making the MFP0130 Liquid Silicone Protective Case incompatible while attached to the bike. The case can only be used when the device is removed.

12. Wonder Wheel Control or Data Reading Issue with AIO-5 Play for BMW

If the "TFT-NAV" indicator doesn't appear in the upper right corner of your BMW TFT dashboard after installing the AIO-5 Play, you may experience:

• Inability to control the device with the Wonder Wheel
• AIO-5 Play not reading BMW data

These issues suggest incomplete integration between the AIO-5 Play and your BMW's systems. To resolve this:

1. Visit your local BMW service provider
2. Request activation of the BMW official pre-installed navigation data package (0272 data package)
3. Update your motorcycle's software to the version mentioned above

Following these steps should resolve the issue for most corresponding BMW motorcycle models.

Note: This process is only required for certain BMW motorcycles and enables Wonder Wheel control and access to original BMW data for your AIO-5 Play.

13. Will you release a version with a larger screen specifically for BMW?

While we are developing a 6-inch screen product, it's not specifically designed for BMW owners. The BMW Nav Prep is designed for a 5-inch screen, and our AIO-5 play for BMW is optimally sized at 5 inches. This size provides the best fit and functionality for BMW owner.

14. Can I display the BMW engine temp in Fahrenheit instead of Celsius?

Currently, the engine temperature is displayed only in Celsius. However, our development team is working on adding a Fahrenheit option. Soon, users will be able to choose between Celsius and Fahrenheit for the engine temperature display.
